About the Autism Center for Excellence at Western Michigan University

Those suffering from autism and their families are getting some much needed help thanks to a $500,000 grant to Western Michigan University psychologists from the Michigan Department of Community Health.

The Autism Center of Excellence at Western Michigan University announces the availability of a series of video interviews with experts in applied behavior analysis, autism and behavioral pediatrics.

These videos are available for viewing free of charge at wmich.edu/autism/resources.

Developed by Dr. Wayne Fuqua, Professor of Psychology at Western Michigan University with support from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, these videos feature presentations and interviews with experts in applied behavior analysis and behavioral pediatrics. In many cases, the videos also include supplemental materials and clinical simulations that demonstrate the application of essential features of an assessment or intervention technique. These videos are designed to enhance the ability of applied behavior analysis practitioners (e.g., BCBAs) and students in academic training programs to understand and to implement important behavior analysis assessment and treatment techniques with children, especially those with developmental disabilities such as autism. Additional videos are under development, so please check back periodically for updates.
